This beautiful extra-heavy oval Oxford signet ring has been designed and lovingly crafted in our London workshops, measuring approx. 14mm x 12mm and a depth of 2mm to the top, the oval shape is one of our most popular signet rings and is ideal for seal engraving.
It looks great with two or three entwined initials engraved on the top.
We have specialist hand engravers with over 150 years of combined experience reproducing your family crests or initials to your specifications.
The signet ring is almost certainly the first type made for practical purposes, dating back to ancient times.
Until the end of the Regency period, only gentlemen were entitled to wear signet rings. Each ring had a seal unique to the gentleman who wore it. Today, the tradition of wearing a signet ring with a family crest is still very popular with both ladies and gentlemen, especially in the city of London/Londinium.
