Watch Batteries & Straps

PRofessional Watch Maintenance

A fine watch is a precision instrument that requires regular care to maintain its accuracy and appearance. Whether your everyday timepiece needs a reliable new power source or your luxury watch requires a superior leather strap to refresh its character, we provide a specialist service in the heart of the Square Mile. We offer a swift, professional turnaround while ensuring the highest standards of horological care.

Our Watch Maintenance Services

We provide essential services for a wide range of Swiss, Japanese, and fashion watch brands:

  • Precision Battery Replacement: We use only premium-grade, long-life silver oxide batteries to ensure consistent voltage and protect your watch’s movement.
  • Water Resistance & Pressure Testing: For divers’ and sports watches, we offer a resealing service. This includes replacing worn gaskets and professional pressure testing to ensure your timepiece remains water-resistant to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Luxury Leather Straps: Enhance your watch with our curated selection of fine leather straps. From classic calfskin and embossed crocodile to contemporary stitched designs, we provide a variety of colours and widths to suit any lug size.
  • Metal Bracelet Adjustments: If your watch is sliding or feels too tight, we can professionally add or remove links to ensure a secure and comfortable fit on your wrist.
  • Spring Bar Replacement: We use high-quality stainless steel spring bars to ensure the connection between your watch head and strap is robust and secure.

Restoring the Aesthetic

Beyond the internal mechanics, the outward appearance of your watch is a reflection of your style. A new strap can completely transform the look of an older timepiece, moving it from a sporty aesthetic to a formal one in moments. Alongside our strap fittings, we offer a light experimental cleaning of cases and bracelets to remove accumulated dirt and oils, restoring the original lustre of the metal.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of precious metals do you buy?

We purchase all carats of gold (9ct, 14ct, 18ct, 22ct, and 24ct), as well as platinum, palladium, and sterling silver. We accept items in any condition, including broken jewellery, single earrings, and scrap metal, as well as investment bars and coins such as Sovereigns and Krugerrands.

How do you determine the value of my jewellery?

Our valuations are based on several factors: the purity (carat) of the metal, the total weight, any precious gemstones, and the current London bullion market prices. For antique or designer pieces, we also consider the craftsmanship, hallmark, and historical significance.

Do I need an appointment to sell my gold?

While we welcome visitors to our Square Mile showroom, we recommend booking a brief appointment for an evaluation. This ensures a specialist is available to provide a thorough and private assessment of your items.

What if my jewellery is broken or has no hallmarks?

We are still happy to assess your items. We use professional testing methods to determine the metal purity of non-hallmarked pieces, and the value of broken jewellery is calculated based on its weight and metal content.

Do you buy diamonds and other gemstones?

Yes, we buy diamond-set jewellery and items featuring precious stones like sapphires, emeralds, and rubies. Our experts assess the quality, colour, and clarity of the stones as part of the overall offer.

Is there a charge for the initial assessment?

No, we provide a no-obligation verbal assessment and offer free of charge. If you require a formal written valuation for insurance or probate purposes instead of a direct sale, a separate fee may apply.
