Terms & Policies
By placing an order with City of London Jewellers, you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions. These do not affect your statutory rights.
Orders & Contract
A binding contract is formed only when your order has been accepted, processed, and dispatched, and your payment has cleared. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where necessary. Prices and availability may change without notice.
Submitting an order via this website constitutes an offer to purchase. Acceptance occurs when your payment is successfully processed. If we’re unable to supply an item, you won’t be charged for it.
Pricing & Payment
- All prices include UK VAT at the current rate.
- Prices are confirmed at checkout and remain fixed once your order is placed.
- International orders may incur customs duties or import taxes—these are the buyer’s responsibility.
We accept Visa and MasterCard debit/credit cards. Online payments are processed securely via PayPal; no account is required. You may also pay on collection by prior arrangement.
Please note: We do not accept cash payments.

- Items must be returned in original condition.
- You are responsible for return postage.
Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item. We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery for insurance cover up to £2,500.
To cancel or return, please contact us by phone or email for a return authorisation code and instructions. Include your order number, item details, and contact information.
Exclusions:
- Earrings and body-piercing items (for hygiene reasons).
- Bespoke or personalised items, including resized rings and engraved pieces, once work has begun.
- In-Store Purchases: Items purchased in person at our shop are considered final sale. We do not offer refunds for in-store purchases, as customers have the opportunity to inspect items before buying. However, we will accept exchanges—up to two times—for other goods or a credit note, provided the item is returned in original condition within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
PayPal Fee Retention
If you cancel an order after payment has been processed, please note: PayPal retains a non-refundable transaction fee (typically 3.03%). As a small business, we’re unable to absorb this cost. Refunds will be issued minus the PayPal commission.
We appreciate your understanding and support of independent sellers.
