Measurements with loop:- 24.5mm x 14mm.
Tree only 19mm x 16.5mm.

Tree of Life Gold Necklace PC0536.

Whether it’s for a special occasion or a gift for your loved one, this necklace is stunning, 9ct gold with white leaves, a tree pendant that showcases sheer natural beauty. A spiritual design, finished with stunning 9ct white leaves and placed on a delicate chain. Inspired by the tree of life, this pendant symbolises life’s beauty and growth.

A tree may grow from the earth, but this one doesn’t cost the earth!

(In the Bible)

The Tree of Life is considered to be the symbol of the ‘Creator’.
The tree in the Garden of Eden bore fruit, which gave it eternal life (Gen. 3:22–24).
A branching, tree-like structure representing the evolutionary divergence of all living creatures.
“The migration of small populations to new areas could be seen as the chief cause of the branching in the tree of life”
A Tree of Life, in various religious interpretations, within myths, and as a mystical concept, represents the interconnections of all life on our beautiful planet and is said to connect all forms of creation.

The tree of life is a fundamental archetype in many of the world’s mythological, religious, and philosophical traditions.

City of London Jewellers presents the Elstree White Gold Star Necklace.
Measurements:- 20mm x 14mm.

White-Gold-Star-Necklace-PC00383.

Create starry style with this White Gold Star Necklace. Hand-finished in 9ct white gold and featuring a highly polished finish, this is a subtle design and delicate form with a unique tactile feel. The necklace features an abstract curved starfish pendant with a strong white gold curb link chain. Inspired by the combination of glittering night stars and the organic star fish of the sea, this unusual necklace is perfect for anyone who wants to add the magic of stars to their look.

You are sure to be the star of the show and capture admiring glances with this beautiful pendant.

Starfish are fascinating animals which are part of a larger group called ‘echinoderms’, meaning ‘spiny-skinned’. The group includes some very spiny species like sea urchins, sea cucumbers and brittle stars.

Starfish do not always have five arms, some species have more. For example the common sun star and the seven armed starfish, both found in British waters and the crown of thorns starfish found in tropical waters.

There are around 1,500 different species of starfish in the world and around 32 species in British waters.

Most starfish release eggs and sperm into the open water, where fertilization occurs. Larvae then drift freely in the sea as plankton allowing wide dispersal. One of the most beautiful and interesting larvae is that of the seven armed starfish, which resembles a shooting star. When ready to settle, the larvae split into two sections. A small orange starfish, which sinks to the seabed and a transparent, jelly-like section, which continues on its way, surviving for over a month before eventually dying. The cushion Starfish is different as it lays its eggs, on the shore, which develop into tiny starfish.

9ct White Gold Star Necklace Pendant PC00383.

About
The common starfish is highly common in UK seas, found in rockpools and out at sea to depths of at least 600m. They are active predators, feasting on bivalves such as mussels and clams. As such, they have been known to become a bit of a pest on mussel and oyster beds! Starfish feed on shellfish by pulling the shells open with their arms, inserting their own stomach into the shell and dissolving their prey with digestive juices, before reabsorbing their stomach full of the shellfish soup.

Starfish will form huge aggregations when food is plentiful, drawn in by their keen sense of smell. They don’t have a nose – they use special receptors in their skin!. Starfish aren’t really fish, they are a type of sea creature called an echinoderm, which means “spiny skinned”. Echinoderms includes starfish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers and brittle stars.

White-Gold-Star-Necklace-PC00383.

How to identify
The common starfish has five arms, is usually orange in colour, and has many small pale spines. It is often found washed up on the shore after rough seas, sometimes in great numbers.
Distribution
Found on all British and Irish coasts, particularly among beds of mussels.

9ct-Gold Evil Eye Pendant CMP0108.

Have you heard about the Evil Eye?

People across the world hold this popular belief in different cultures.

Many fear it because they believe it can cause harm to people.

But what exactly is the Evil Eye?

In this article, we will discuss the meaning of the Evil Eye, its history, and how you can protect yourself from its effects!

Evil Eye Meaning

Someone who harbours envy or jealousy towards another person is believed to cast the Evil Eye, a curse that people believe brings about misfortune, illness, or even death.

In other cultures, the Evil Eye is a symbol of protection against such curses. People often use it as a talisman or amulet to ward off evil spirits.

Evil Eye History
People have believed in the Evil Eye for centuries, and it exists in various cultures all over the world. One of the earliest references to the Evil Eye comes from ancient Greece, which dates back to the 6th century B.C.

Also referred to as μάτι (mati), the Evil Eye was believed to be used to harm others for no reason other than jealousy. This curse is often directed at successful people or those who have been blessed with good fortune.

This includes the classical works of prominent authors such as Homer, Hesiod, Plato, and Aristophanes.

In the Odyssey, Homer describes the Evil Eye as “the glance that brings death.”

9ct-Gold Evil Eye Pendant CMP0108.

Casting the Evil Eye
People say that individuals can cast the Evil Eye intentionally or unintentionally.

The most common way to unintentionally cast the Evil Eye is by complimenting someone too much. For example, if you tell a mother her child is very beautiful, she may worry that you are secretly wishing harm to her child.

Also, be careful with dead animals that die with their eyes open. This may also unintentionally inflict you with the curse.

On the other hand, people can also cast it intentionally, usually in the form of envious glares or looks. This becomes particularly dangerous because someone deliberately directs the energy of envy at you.

To avoid casting the Evil Eye on others, it is important to be mindful of your words and actions. If you are complimenting someone, try to do so in a humble way.

In the Odyssey, Homer describes the Evil Eye as “the glance that brings death.”

dolphins prefer shallow water, but can dive down to 260 meters
dolphins eat fish and squid and will work together to gather food
bottlenose dolphins have bigger brains than humans
communication between dolphins takes place with a variety of noises including clicks and whistles
dolphins love company, and will often follow boats
baby dolphins are born tail first and nurse from their mum for at least 2-3 years, staying close by until the age of around 6
other females may assist in the birth, and babysit the calf while the mum feeds
female dolphins mature earlier than males
the dolphin lifespan is normally 40 years, although some dolphins have reached 50 years of age.

The colour of gold is determined by the alloy IE other metals that are alloyed or mixed with it, for instance rose gold which is used to make this Rose Gold Dolphin Necklace will have Gold and small amounts of copper and various other metals alloyed with it in order to make it a rose colour, where as white gold will have silver alloyed with it to make it white in colour and yellow gold will most commonly have smaller percentage of silver copper and zinc to keep its yellow colour, 9 carat yellow gold is often a lighter yellow colour than 18 carat yellow gold, which is more of a rich and intense yellow due to its higher gold content but what ever colour the gold is the percentage of gold will be the same IE.
